What was regarded beautiful forty years ago is now outdated. Any woman that was viewed as one of the sexiest is now found not to be in shape by both man and women. Nowadays, a beautiful woman is one who has a thin body but then it’s just a matter of time before this ideology phases out. In the past, models didn’t work out as they do now but still remained healthy and were not fanatically toned.

Babette March who was on the cover page as an exotic swim suit model for the 1964 Sport Illustrated is a clear demonstration of the gap in fashion between nowadays and the past. Babette, in a white bikini would be regarded as frumpy using today’s definition of fashion. Many people are so much interest with fashion such that no slight change can pass unnoticed. Bikinis had been in the market since 1946 but not until Ursula Andress in the film Dr. No and Sports Illustrated did they get to become acceptable as a legal beach and pool wear.

Some of the exotic swimsuit models who have appeared on the cover pages of Sports Illustrated are Tyra Banks, Kathy Ireland and Elle Macpherson. Their appearance graces the cover pages of the Sports Illustrated.

Pictures that hock swimsuits bring out more controversy as well as enthusiasm. This is because minimal coverage swim wear and sexy bikinis are becoming popular with each passing day.

Certain people thought that bikinis marked the end of civilization. Fortunately or unfortunately, these people didn’t live to see string bikinis and one piece swimsuits.
