Yamila Diaz-Rahi was born in Argenina in March of 1976. Her father was a doctor in Buenos Aires and her mother also worked in the health care profession. Yamila did not dream of being a model as a young girl. Instead she enrolled in a local college and was studying economics before being discovered.

While vacationing in Uruguay when she was 20 years old, Yamila was discovered by a member of a modeling agency based in Milan. Her career began on a small scale. She began by doing modeling work for department store catalogues. It took a few years for Yamila Diaz-Rahi’s career to really begin.

Her career was truly launched in 1999 when she was featured in the famous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition. After this shoot Yamila’s career took off. She started doing work for magazines such as Glamour and Cosmopolitan. Now a supermodel, Yamila Diaz-Rahi began doing larger projects such as Victoria’s Secret.

In 2002 Yamila Diaz0Rahi was featured on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. Also appearing on it for the “All-Stars” issue in 2006, Yamila became one of the issues favorite models.

Yamila was the first Latin supermodel to be Covergirl’s spokesmodel. She also started in an Italian film in 1999. With a resume including GQ, Marie Claire and Max, Yamila has led a successful and exciting modeling career.

Never married, Yamila Diaz-Rahi lives in Manhattan with Giuliano Trivia, her long-time boyfriend. Standing at 5’7” with green eyes and dark brown hair, Yamila is a truly beautiful Argentinean model.
